My name is Dave Jensen, I’m so grateful to have the best job in the world by making beautiful smiles. There is no greater reward than seeing a face light up after braces come off.
I have been fortunate to live all over the US and moved to Hawaii after a two-year service mission for my church in Denver Colorado. There I got my first degree in Biology from Brigham Young University Hawaii; next I obtained a Master Science degree from the University of Louisville in bacterial pathogenesis and molecular evolution. On a dean’s scholarship I completed a Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Kentucky and continued further to receive a certificate for Craniofacial Biology in orthodontics. Finally, I headed south earned another Masters, this time in orthodontics, at the University of Florida.
I have strong interest in dental research and love asking questions that make us stretch to learn more. As an avid reader I will always have 3 books in rotation but find sitting still a challenge as I also love to cook, surf, run, cycle and have competed extensively in triathlon and sport fencing. I’m so excited to be practicing in the field I love and be living in the most wonderful place in the world.
